The summer semester is an integral part of the educational process at the university and is organized for the purpose of: additional training; elimination of academic arrears in the discipline; elimination of differences in curricula when transferring students from university to university, from one specialty (educational program) to another, when restoring students.
The summer semester is organized on a fee-based basis for students of all levels of education, with the exception of the final year.
The duration of the summer semester is at least 6 weeks; at the same time, the discipline is studied in full.
For one summer semester, it is allowed to apply for no more than 15 credits. After paying for the passage of the summer semester (credits), the student personally registers for disciplines in the DSP before the start of the summer semester
A student who has completed the course program in full, but has not scored the minimum transfer score, in order to increase his average academic performance (GPA), is given the opportunity to re-study certain disciplines on a fee basis in the summer semester and re-take exams on them.
The following categories of students have the right to study in the summer semester: - those who have academic debts for the last period of study, including those who did not appear for the exam without a valid reason; - those who have an academic difference when reinstating, transferring, returning from academic leave; - those who wish to undergo additional training; - those who wish to be restored to the course.
Students who have been transferred to the next course without academic debts have the right to a summer semester for additional training, while the number of additional disciplines studied by students is determined depending on the GPA level.
The student is granted the right to take additional courses in the summer semester, taking into account the following requirements: - students must be transferred to the next course without academic debts; - the number of additional training courses is determined by the level of the student's annual GPA, the higher the GPA, the more additional courses he can claim, but not more than the established scale
In the summer semester, the following types of control of academic achievements are used: current, boundary control of academic performance, intermediate certification in the form of an oral exam.
Academic achievements of students in the summer semester are evaluated according to a point - rating letter system for evaluating academic achievements
For the procedure of transfer or reinstatement to the University from another university or educational program, the student submits an application addressed to the first head of the university in the DSP.
Together with the application, the student must submit the following documents:
- a copy of the identity card;
- transcript;
- a copy of the certificate of the educational grant holder;
- a copy of the UNT certificate (when translated from the creative OP);
- copies of the licenses of the university where he studied;
- a copy of the application addressed to the head of the university where he previously studied (with the signature of the head and seal);
- minutes of the meeting of the Profile Commission on the recognition of the results of formal and non - formal education .
When transferring or restoring a student from a foreign educational organization, the following documents are attached to the application:
- a copy of the identity card/passport;
- document on the mastered training programs (transcript);
- copies of the licenses of the university where he studied:
minutes of the meeting of the Profile Commission on the recognition of learning outcomes and the transfer of disciplines, determining the educational difference;
a document confirming the completion of the previous level of education.
At the same time, if the previous education was obtained in a foreign educational organization, it is necessary to undergo the nostrification procedure in the Republic of Kazakhstan in accordance with the procedure established by the Rules of Recognition and Nostrification of educational documents
Based on the application and submitted documents to students:
- the profile commission carries out the transfer of the mastered credits in accordance with the educational program, determine the academic difference of the disciplines studied by the student during previous academic periods, reflected in the transcript and, in accordance with the mastered prerequisites, set the course of study;
- in accordance with the visas of the dean of the faculty, the vice-rector for UMR, the DSP issues an order of the rector of KazUTB on the transfer of the student.
An employee of the KazUTB DSP, on the basis of an order for the transfer of a student, sends an extract from the order for enrollment in the order of transfer and a request to the university where the student previously studied.
The university where the student previously studied within three working days from the date of receipt of a written request to forward his personal file sends the student's personal file to KazUTB.
When transferring a student on the basis of an educational grant from a university to KazUTB, the DSP submits to the DVPO of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the administrator of the corresponding budget program an extract from the student's enrollment order together with a copy of the certificate of the educational grant issued in his name to adjust the amount of funding for universities.
The transfer of students to study on a paid basis from another university to KazUTB is accompanied by the conclusion of an agreement for the provision of educational services between the student and KazUTB.
For 1-3 courses: the transfer / restoration of the student is carried out on the appropriate course, while the difference in curricula should not exceed 25 credits, otherwise the transfer / restoration is carried out on the course below.
The procedure for transferring a student from a University to another university is carried out in the following order:
1) A student wishing to transfer from KazUTB to another university submits an application of the established sample for transfer to the name of the first head of the university and, having received the consent for the transfer, sealed, addresses the head of the university of interest to him.
2) A copy of the transcript signed by the rector of the university, the registrar's office, the head of the DSP, sealed, a copy of the certificate of the educational grant holder, a copy of the application addressed to the rector of the university (with the rector's signature and seal) is attached to the application for transfer to the head of the host university.
The rector of the university to which the student is transferred, within three working days from the date of receipt of the application, sends a written request to KazUTB JSC to forward his personal file;
After receiving such a request, the DSP of KazUTB JSC issues an order of the rector on expulsion with the wording "expelled due to transfer to (name of the university)" and within three working days from the date of issuing the order on expulsion, sends the student's personal file to the address of the host university.
In KazUTB JSC, where the student studied, a copy of the request, copies of the certificate, certificate (if any), transcript, extract from the order of expulsion in connection with the transfer and a bypass sheet, copies of documents of previous education, copies of the identity card remain in the personal file.
