On March 11, 2025, as part of the Department of «Light Industry Technology and Design» Week, a meeting took place between the students of the «Design» and «Technology and Construction of Light Industry Products» programs of KazUTB named after K. Kulaizhanov and Zarina Akshulakova, the founder of the successful brand iamdifferent.brand and a recognized expert in the sewing business. The meeting with such an outstanding professional provided students with a unique opportunity to learn about the key aspects of working in the fashion and design industry, as well as to gain valuable knowledge directly from the source.

The topic of the guest lecture conducted by Zarina Akshulakova was «How to Become a Successful Designer... Career and Development». During the lecture, the guest shared not only her own experience in creating and promoting a brand but also talked about trends in the global fashion industry, as well as the specifics of working with fabrics, textures, and colors in the context of modern design.

Special attention was given to questions of business organization in the design industry, the challenges faced by emerging entrepreneurs, and strategies for successfully promoting a brand.
